Our Members
Notes from the Chair
Dear SIGDOC Member,
As you may have already seen, the SIGDOC 2006 Conference Call for Papers
is now open and accepting proposals through May 26, 2006. Please see
http://www.sigdoc2006.org for
up-to-date information, dates, and conference news.
On another front, we currently have in-cooperation relationships with
several outstanding 2006 conference organizations. ACM SIGDOC currently
has in-cooperation agreements with the following organizations:
- AH 06
Adaptive Hypermedia and Adaptive Web-Based Systems, Dublin, Ireland
(6/21 - 6/23, 2006)
- CaSTA 06 (Canadian Symposium on Text Analysis):
Breadth of Text -- A Joint Humanities Computing, Computer Science
conference, Fredericton,
NB (10/11 - 10/14)
- DocEng 06: ACM Symposium on Document Engineering,
Amsterdam, The Netherlands (10/10 - 10/13, 2006)
- IWCMC 06 International
Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference, Vancouver,
BC (7/3 - 7/6, 2006)
ACM in-cooperation relationships entitle you, as ACM SIGDOC members,
to the same fees for registration and proceedings as members of the sponsoring
organization(s).
Finally, as ACM SIGDOC members, I wanted to encourage you all to spread
the word about the organization and its benefits. Share our Members URL
(http://www.sigdoc.org/members) or forward our conference call for papers
to colleagues you think might be interested (http://www.sigdoc2006.org).
In addition to SIGDOC benefits, one of my favorite features of ACM membership
is access to over 500 online books via the ACM Professional Development
Centre (http://pd.acm.org/books/saf_books.cfm), in addition to over 1000
online courses (http://pd.acm.org/cp_home.cfm), but then I've always
had a weakness for online information!
