About the submission process for those interested: For SIGDOC 2009, the Conference Committee followed a three-phase submission process. Authors first submitted proposals for double-blind review by select members of the Program Committee. Each proposal was reviewed by the Program Chairs to assess the topics covered and distributed to select members of the Program Committee to ensure that any given Committee member's area of expertise or research interest matched the topic(s) of the proposal. This way, we ensured a true peer review process. If their proposals were accepted, authors submitted a full paper for double-blind review. If their full papers were accepted, authors submitted a camera-ready version directly to the printer.
