Air Travel
If you'll be traveling by air, SIGDOC recommends that you fly into Indianapolis International Airport (Airport code: IND), and either rent a car or catch a shuttle to your hotel. Bloomington is approximately 40 miles south of Indianapolis.

Car rentals, Shuttles, and Public Transportation
There are many car rental companies at the Indianapolis International Airport. To take a shuttle from the airport to Bloomington: bloomingtonshuttle.com. The approximate cost--round trip--is $40 USD. SIGDOC recommends that if you take a shuttle, you stay at the conference hotel, on the IU campus (see the "conference site" page for details). For those who would like to share the costs of travel or accommodations, SIGDOC recommends using Facebook, Twitter (#SIGDOC2009), or LinkedIn to coordinate room or ride sharing.
